On September 27, 2017, provincial Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, Dr. Eric Hoskins introduced Bill 160 “Strengthening Quality and Accountability or Patients Act.” If passed, Bill 160 would amend The Long-Term Care Homes Act 2007, to, among other things, establish administrative penalties and enhance the powers of the Director.
